I am really pissed-off with our government, what do they really do for the people? I don't see any real thing been done by them to make our life better..... other then just playing a political drama....
I am working abroad and I really feel that the government has not even considered to help people like us who is traveling and working abroad... why can't they just get it done? how easy it would be for us to travel... we don't have an embassy of most of the countries of the world and just for few days to travel to any place we have to go to India or Sri Lanka to get the visa... which will be so costly for a normal person who's income is not in millions.... why can't they arrange to get VOA for Dubai, Qatar, Italy, Germany, Swaziland, etc...... Maldives is a world famous tourist destination where anyone from around the world can get VOA... but why can't we get the same...
Maldives is a small nation with a very little population, I am sure if the government wants they can achieve this for sure... but they have to make it the priority which will never be...
Just do a Google search and you will find that Malaysian's, Singaporean's etc. can get VOA for almost all the countries in the world.... why can't we get.... why is our government not doing anything about this...
I was really happy when our new president when to the UN, I thought he would put some time to meet world leaders and discuss about this, but guess what he would be talking to them just to get money.... from them.....
Really feel sad...........

this is the reason i decided not to go for eg italy this year! Im not going to Srilanka to prove myself.
All the nations get voa in maldives. why can't we?
BUT traveling is not common for Maldivians. my family and friends don't get me when i travel every year to a place i have not gone. so perhaps its not on the state's agenda to do this.
PLUS increasing number of Maldivians have been captured in jihad feilds in Pakistan and Afghan, which would make others think twice before giving a Maldivian an entry visa.
However, my opinion on this is; this whole thing is rediculous, premitive and out dated! Just like i do not represent every other human being, you can not judge me comparing to another guy in Maldives. I might have no similiarity at all. this stereotyping people is wrong. PLUS i think having nations and borders is wrong too! its premitive! imagine when earth is considered your home. not just maldives. you can go anywhere, live anywhere you like.
I think people would then be traveling a lot. perhaps this racial prejudice and religions divisions would be lesser if people travelled a great deal. Its very transparent isn't it those who travel, see more tend to be less racial etc, cause they understand the vastness of human cultures....
