Visa On Arrival (VOA)
I am really pissed-off with our government, what do they really do for the people? I don't see any real thing been done by them to make our life better..... other then just playing a political drama....
I am working abroad and I really feel that the government has not even considered to help people like us who is traveling and working abroad... why can't they just get it done? how easy it would be for us to travel... we don't have an embassy of most of the countries of the world and just for few days to travel to any place we have to go to India or Sri Lanka to get the visa... which will be so costly for a normal person who's income is not in millions.... why can't they arrange to get VOA for Dubai, Qatar, Italy, Germany, Swaziland, etc...... Maldives is a world famous tourist destination where anyone from around the world can get VOA... but why can't we get the same...
Maldives is a small nation with a very little population, I am sure if the government wants they can achieve this for sure... but they have to make it the priority which will never be...
Just do a Google search and you will find that Malaysian's, Singaporean's etc. can get VOA for almost all the countries in the world.... why can't we get.... why is our government not doing anything about this...
I was really happy when our new president when to the UN, I thought he would put some time to meet world leaders and discuss about this, but guess what he would be talking to them just to get money.... from them.....
Really feel sad...........

Government Office "No reply to Email".
I have sent a email to Foreign Ministry of Maldives on Jul 13th, 2009, however until today they did not reply to my email.
I wonder having all the IT solutions at all the government offices, if they don't use them and don't respond to emails, whats the use of all those sophisticated equipment..

Why Not Ocean Power for Male'?
Maldives is said to be 1% Land & 99% Water, so why not we generate our power from the water we have.There has been many projects going on in the world trying to generate power from natural resources and why can't our country try it? Are we still going to depend on oil for power? When the whole world is depended on oil, why not we use our own natural resource we have for power?
I did Googled to find some of the projects which are going on and has been done and found some great options just to get enough power for our small capital. See the figure........
I hope our leaders would consider this as all of us already know that our country is so much concern on environment effects and this is something we could do just not to burn oil for power.
